Bad beats in poker
happen. No one likes them when they are on the receiving end, but
then again who would. Most of the time suffering a bad beat will
cost you money thus leading to a few expletives being thrown around.
The key here is to not go on tilt and remain calm. Again, poker
bad beats happen by nature of the game.
Bad beats often occur when you have
a really good hand that is favored to win and the river gives your
opponent the better hand. Often times this is the result of a player
hitting that miracle card for his drawing hand and probably shouldn't
have been in to the hand to begin with.
Some examples of bad beats are a
K high flush being beat by the A high flush, a full house being
beat by four of a kind, four of a kind being beat by a straight
flush, trips being beat by some suckout on the river, etc.
