Welcome to Easy Poker Money! Tips to Improve Your Poker Game.

Improve Your Poker Game

There are several methods that you can employ to improve your game of poker. If before you play poker you havn't sat down and read some books than I suggest you start there. Reading books helped me take my game from playing penny poker (also known as micro limits) to playing small stakes poker in a few months. I highly recommend for your reading pleasure Lee Jones' Winning Low Limit Holdem, Ed Miller's Getting Started in Holdem and his combined work with David Sklansky & Mason Malmuth in Small Stakes Holdem. David Sklansky's Theory of Poker is also highly recommended. Combine the knowledge in these books and you will find your poker game improve like a rocket.

Another way that has helped me improve at playing poker is to join a few poker forums. By reading about other poker players and their experiences with online poker will open up a new world of how the game is played. Whether it is from wondering how to play a certain hand or reading about why they played the hand the way they did your knowledge of the game will once again be improved. We of course have out own poker forum here and you are welcome to join. The only other poker forum I recommend is the one where the experts hang out at…Two plus Two. With prominent authors and World Series of Poker champions replying to posts it's hard not to want to hang out there.

Another suggestion that can help you improve your poker game is gain discipline and follow the principles set forth by the experts. Starting hand selection for most poker players is their biggest leak in their game and thus their biggest money looser. Sure poker may get boring by folding hand after hand but if you keep stats on your play you will find that being patient, waiting on a playable hand and playing it using optimal strategy your game will be really improved.
